Shoshie the "imaginary" friend

A long time ago when my aunt was a little girl, she had an "imaginary" friend named Shoshie (Shaw-shie). She said he wore shorts and long socks and old shoes. He wore a blue hat. Well, in time, she forgot about Shoshie. Well, years later, when she had kids of her own, my cousin Sam was playing "by himself." He was talking "to himself" in the playroom. I asked him "what are you doing?" and surely, he replied, "I'm playing with Shoshie." This wasn't really scary at the time, because I had been sure that my aunt had toled him about Shoshie. I asked her. She had no idea what I was talking about when I said she had to had told him that Shoshie was her friend. But she never had. Neither did her sister. Or her husband. But they knew nothing of it. This sounds like a total joke, but trust me, Shoshie is real, he is a ghost. Imaginary friends aren't "imaginary" at all. Little kids can see ghosts, they think nothing of it. So next time a kid comes to tell you he made a new imaginary friend, make sure to give him a greeting to start on a good note.
